Things I Like That Start With The Letter A!

You may have figured out that my favourite letter of all the 26 letters in the English alphabet is the letter A. Why? One of the main reasons is that my name starts with this letter. Thus, for me, the letter A symbolizes superiority. Just like when waiting for your turn in line, the ones with surnames that start with the letter A often get called first.
8 things or words I love that start with the letter A!
1.    Accio!
This is actually a term related to Harry Potter. This is a summoning charm, which means that it causes an object at a distance from the caster to fly into their arms. (Harry Potter wikia)

I like this HP spell because it means that if ever I could use it in real life, I could spend lesser time looking for my books, papers, and even the remote control.

2.    Airplanes
I really love riding airplanes because I am technically flying (I really want to fly!). I really like seeing the view from up above or from the cloud’s perspective.

3.   Analogies
I did not name my blog, “Anyalogy” for no reason. Of course, I love analogies! I really love comparing the similarities of features of two things. Every time I do analogies, I make use of my imagination, knowledge of vocabulary, and love for literature and language.

4.    Antagonist’s story
Every story has a protagonist and an antagonist or a hero and a villain. We always despise the antagonist for being so cruel, manipulative and rude. However, I always like to know why the villain is so cruel through reading the antagonist’s story.

I actually really like the movie, “Maleficent” because they retold the story of “Sleeping Beauty” through Maleficent’s perspective. That movie answered the questions that rambled on my head for a very long time, like “What did the royal family or Aurora do to deserve that kind of bad treatment?”.  It all made sense to me.

Always remember that a good story wouldn’t be good without a villain.

5.    Aarrghh!
This is probably one of my most favourite expressions or exclamations ever! This word can be used most of the time. It can be used when expressing annoyance, sarcasm, frustration, anger, and surprise. Sometimes, it can also be used when joking and often as a general exclamation. For me, this word is quite magical since it is only one simple word with complex meanings!

6.    Albert Einstein
Who can forget the E = mc2 that explains the relationship between mass and energy? I really like this man! Or in Filipino,” Hangang-hanga ako sa taong ito!”

Einstein is probably one of the most iconic men ever. He developed the general theory of relativity, has an element in the periodic table named after him, and even got a school named after him.

I really want to be successful like him since we have one unique thing in common, we were both shy as young kids. Since we have this thing in common,I believe that someday, my shyness won’t get in my way of becoming successful and iconic.

7.    Acronyms
I like using acronyms a lot. Using acronyms or mnemonics has always been the most effective study tip for me. I can memorize the names of the Philippine Presidents in order just by using mnemonics. I also used to memorize all the books in the Bible in order by using acronyms.

8.    Angels
I believe in angels. I believe that I have a guardian angel who constantly guides me whenever I need guidance. I believe that I have a guardian angel who plays the harp to calm me down whenever I am not at ease. I also believe that my guardian angel will grant my primary 11:11 wish. As a result, I collect figurines of angels and place them in my religious area.
