For the first time, the sky was clear
The moon was shining so bright
And only a single star was visible to the naked eye

I can think of this day as a good one or a bad one. This day can be good because it is my grandmother’s 65th birthday and my parents’ 14th wedding anniversary. Also, I spent a lot of time with my cousin and kind of proved that I could be a good babysitter.
But I know myself, I’ll surely think of this as a bad one. I mean, everybody can easily recognize a bad day. It is a day wherein one failed, cried, or received a bad news in general. I received a bad news today. A tragic one. Something that I’ll surely remember forever. Of course, I cried so hard. I did not (and still can not) accept the news very well. It is just so hard. It will take me a week, a month, or even a year to accept it. After all, time heals all wounds, right?
From this day forth, I won’t be living my life like the way I did before. I need to be tough. I need to be strong. I need to be mature.
I looked at the sky at 9 pm. It was clear. I only saw the moon shining so bright and a single star near it. It was a simple work of art, but it surely meant a lot. As what my mom said, “ If this is Your way of lifting our hearts and spirits, thank You dear God.”
